From an initial PhD in Intumescent Coatings, our unique first hand knowledge and expertise of fire science spanning almost 3 decades of experience have allowed us and unparallel insight and understanding of fire.
This unique scientific database underpins and fundamentally drives FPW’s ability to develop novel frontier technology.
In particular, FPW has developed a mathematical model to determine the order of kinetics for intumescent coatings. This is the start point of formulation design for FPW’s range of intumescent and protective coatings. Our specialist tool and bespoke testing equipment enables our expert team to conduct a wide range of research in the area of fire protection materials formulation, development and testing. Formulations are modelled and ranked following the successful testing.
