Mr Deogon has accumulated a considerable amount of experience over the last 20 years. He has extensive expertise in conducting R&D projects, from laboratory to pilot scale and full scale manufacturing. His forte is to mastermind technical development, and projects of high-tech niche market applications such as passive fire protection. He has also developed coatings for deep-sea applications.
Mr Deogon has extensive experience with formulations, testing and development as he has been working directly with Dr Singh on part time basis in UK and USA for over 25 years. After graduating in Materials Engineering, he has concentrated upon developing fire resistant composite materials for ballistics and armour applications. As part of this research he developed a patentable concept, which has been proven by realistic large-scale tests with Alvis Vickers Ltd (UK MOD suppliers). The test highlighted the novel nature of the composite which resisted ballistic impact without the use of steel plating.
He has further experience in setting up plants for manufacturing and testing purposes.
He has expertise in formulation and design of novel resin chemistry used in composite materials engineering and protective coatings for both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. He has formulated intumescent varnish coatings and solvent borne acrylic based coatings.
Having taken numerous concepts from bench to marketable products he specialises in developing blast-resistant amour protection systems, as well as:
• Composite materials testing, formulation, engineering and manufacturing through resin infusion
• Adhesives formulating knowledge
• Engineering and formulating materials to resist jet-fire conditions
• Testing experience of fire protection coatings
• Development experience in both epoxy and acrylic intumescent systems
Manmohan is also co-author of number of patents, some of which are for Fortune 500 companies while others are currently awaiting filing. He is an experienced production manager and has extensive knowledge and understanding of designing bespoke manufacturing equipment.
